On-the-go healthy dinner? Yes please.
I am always on the go so I struggle more than anything to keep my meals clean. So much to do, so little time, which includes cooking. But cooking is one of the secret keys to weight loss, heart health and overall wellness. So, I practice making quick AND healthy meals (it’s trial and error with me…). Believe it or not though, I’ve discovered it is possible! And to prove it to you, I’m sharing tonight’s antioxidant-packed, omega-3 filled, fiber and protein rich, all-around power meal with you.

Grocery List
Fresh glove of garlic (cancer fighting food…happy Breast Cancer Awareness Month!)
Old Bay spice
Frozen, all-ready cooked, ready-to-go shrimp (see pic for the one I chose)
Cocktail sauce (go with organic option if possible)
Organic extra virgin olive oil
Your choice of veggie (make sure to steam – it preserves the healthy nutrients when cooking)
Glass of red wine (it’s heart healthy and the perfect end to a long day!)
Directions
Brown chopped garlic in pan with organic extra virgin olive oil (about a tablespoon)
Mix in all-ready cooked frozen shrimp (you are really just heating up so keep on a low temp)
Steam choice of veggie (broccoli in my case…it’s my fav!)
Serve with cocktail sauce
