Shopping list:
RefrigeratorΒ 
Eggs
Reduced fat cheese
Hummus (Use instead of mayo – makes a great sandwich condiment. Avocado is also a great substitute for mayo!)
Greek Yogurt
Veggies:

  • 1 bell pepper (more Vitamin C than an organge)
  • Kale
  • Baby spinach (multi-vitamin, antioxidants – have more nutrients than the full grown spinach-morebiological and active)
Freezer
Edamame (Have just as much nutriton as fresh edamame and it’s more affordable)
Nuts and seeds in freezer (Keeps them fresh longer; nuts helps keep blood sugar stable)
Diced mangos, strawberries, blueberries, other fruits
Pantry
Oats (whole grain, fiber filled; good substitute for bread crumbs when cooking)
Whole grain pasta
Marianara (350 mg of sodium or less)
Wild salmon (Can or pouch; more heart healthy omega fats than tuna)
Nut butters (Cashew and almond butters, not just peanut butter)
Lentils and beans (low sodium if possible)
